YOUTH AMBASSADORS

Grand Island Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize our 2018-2019 Youth
Ambassadors for Service and welcome our 2019-2020 Youth Ambassadors.

We would like to thank Madison Davidson and William Soos for the past year of service as the Grand
Island Chamber of Commerce Youth Ambassadors. In the past year, Madison and William have
represented the Chamber at the following events: Light Up the Boulevard, Chamber Holiday Party, Citizen
of the Year, KidBiz, and the 4th of July Parade. In the fall Madison will be attending Niagara Culinary
Institution and William will be attending Christopher Newport University. The Chamber Board of Directors
would like to thank Madison and William again for a job well done and wish them the best of luck in the
future!

We would also like to Congratulate Rhys Mendel the Grand Island Chamber of Commerce 2019
Scholarship winner. Rhys will be attending University at Buffalo in the fall intended course of study will be in
Biochemistry. Best of luck at University at Buffalo!

The Grand Island Chamber of Commerce selects three Youth Ambassadors to promote interaction and
goodwill between the business community and students, to bring them an awareness of the economic
development of Grand Island. The two Youth Ambassadors selected represent the youth of Grand Island
at local business events such as the Citizen of the Year Awards Dinner, KidBiz, the 4th of July parade,
Light Up the Boulevard Electric Parade & Festival and other Chamber and community events. This program
is open to students in grades 10, 11 and 12. The three chosen Youth Ambassadors will each receive a
$1,000 scholarship. In May we held interviews for our 2019-2020 Youth Ambassadors.

The Chamber would like to introduce the Grand Island Community to the 2019-2020 Youth Ambassadors,
two are members of the Grand Island High School Class of 2020 and one is a member of the Grand Island
High School Class of 2021:
