Fishing in Grand Island, NY

Western New York is home to some of the finest fishing in the world. Surrounded by the mighty Niagara River, Grand Island is the perfect spot to cast a line.

These are some favorite fishing spots on Grand Island:

  • Fisherman’s Landing.  A public access fishing wateway. East River Rd at the base of the South Grand Island Bridge.
  • Blue Water Marina – Fishing supplies and public access fishing at the marina. 340 East River Rd 716.773.7884
  • Big Six Mile Creek Marina – Public access fishing at marina. 3219 Whitehaven Rd 716.773.3270
  • Beaver Island State Park – Public access fishing at NYS park. On the southern tip of the Island just off South Parkway.

Every July, the WNY Bassmasters hold an Open Tourney in the Upper Niagara River (surrounding Grand Island) and Lake Erie. Information on the tourney is here.
